[S1E3] Enter Number Two

Daemon rows, rows, rows his boat over to Bloodstone, and promptly starts turning a really surprising number of the enemy into lump crabmeat. But then the archers pin him down, and get a few good shots in.

[S1E3] Enter Number Two

Last week I said that though the show is undeniably atmospheric and entertaining, it does sometimes dip into the ridiculous in the service of that entertainment. I can't imagine that anyone, even the most pettily cruel mother in the world - hell, let's include the universe - would make her daughter go get medical help as some sort of lesson to her. If Kayce's faster, send Kayce, for goodness sake. Then you might have another half-century of being cruel to your daughter to look forward to!

I write about TV shows like House Of The Dragon, The Witcher, The Rings Of Power, Stranger Things, Yellowjackets, Severance and many others. I also cover movies, video games, comic books and novels, largely in the fantasy, science-fiction, horror and superhero genres. Some of my favorite video games to play and write about include Dark Souls, Elden Ring, Call Of Duty, XCOM, Mass Effect, Titanfall, The Witcher and many other action, RPG and shooter games. My favorite films include Braveheart, Tropic Thunder, Arsenic and Old Lace, Schindler's List and far too many others to list here. I often discuss the \"pop culture wars\" and how shifting cultural values impact our art and entertainment. I prefer deep conversations and debate to shouting matches, and welcome readers from all walks of life and all religious and political backgrounds to join in this conversation. Thanks for reading!

Sakonji explains that as a trainer among many, he will guide Tanjiro through his own path unique to get stronger using the mountain, and that he must attend the Final Selection held on Mount Fujikasane to become a Demon Slayer; he alone will decide if he is fit to enter the selection.

All of the sudden, Sakonji informs him he has nothing more to teach to the boy, telling him his success is now up to him. Walking through the forest, he takes Tanjiro to a clearing, the site of an immense boulder adorned with shide. Sakonji tells Tanjiro that he will only allow him to enter Final Selection if he is able to slice it. Shocked at the monumental task, Tanjiro calls out to his trainer, but Sakonji leaves without saying anything else.

As London is a few hours ahead, Eve Crosbie, an entertainment reporter over in Insider's UK office, was able to crack open her bottle of Beaujolais alongside a meal to experience it the way Bill and Frank do. However, as a vegetarian, she opted for linguine pasta cooked with fresh cherry tomatoes and garlic rather than a slow-cooked rabbit.

After Elena's death, Rubel sends Clare to Rabona on her next job. However, Rabona does not allow any unnatural creatures to enter, including Claymores, so Clare has to use a Yoki-suppressing pill in order to keep her identity a secret. Unfortunately, this makes her lose the ability to sense the Yoma and she'll have to search the hard way. She and Raki enter the Holy City under the guise of a brother and sister looking to sell some items. They head to the church and meet with the Father Vincent, the man who sent for the Claymores' help. Later that night, Clare meets with him again and, after gaining little information, asks him to take care of Raki if she dies. She leaves but is ambushed by Galk and Sid, two guards who suspect her of being a Claymore.

The next morning, the soldiers enter Clare and Raki's room and accuse Clare of being a Claymore. They see Clare's eyes are brown, not silver, but still suspect her, though Raki manages to convince them she is just a normal girl. She again meets with Father Vincent and tells him she believes the Yoma is a "Voracious Eater" and that she will hunt for it again at night. When night falls, Clare leaves in search of the Yoma but is once again attacked by Galk and Sid. After a brief skirmish, they hear a scream from the Cathedral. Clare heads there, but she is unable to sense the Yoma and is attacked. Galk and Sid order and try to help but have to be saved by Clare. During the battle, she is impaled by the Yoma's extendable nails and goes limp. 041b061a72
